Plastic surgery^[1] is an increasingly common cosmetic procedure across Asia^[2]. An online photo series that shows women before and after their procedures has gone viral in China, highlighting the often dramatic transformation that people go through. 

Below are 19 photos of women who underwent plastic surgery procedures such as rhinoplasty, double eyelid surgery as well as a procedure known as V-line surgery, that gives the jaw a much narrower appearance.

Some of the plastic surgery transformations are more pronounced than others, but everyone seems happy with the results. Although cultural attitudes towards plastic surgery, cosmetic dentistry and other procedures vary around the world, here’s hoping that people who undergo such treatments are happy and confident with their fresh new looks.
